Darcy Poquette has been teaching for 22 years. She began her career as an English and English as a Second Language teacher at La Follette High School. After leading the Multilingual Ed department for a decade, she transitioned to becoming a co-coordinator for AVID alongside teaching AVID, Advanced Placement English courses and Writing for the Media. She advises the school newspaper group — The Lance — as well as the school yearbook and a reading and viewing club. She has a Masters of Science in Educational Psychology and is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Composition & Rhetoric.
