Dozens of talented student journalists from across the region were recognized for their outstanding work during the annual Kettle Moraine Press Association (KEMPA) Fall Conference, held Thursday, October 16 at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
The conference brought together hundreds of student reporters, editors, designers, photographers, and broadcasters for a full day of hands-on learning and professional development. In addition to workshops led by industry professionals and educators, KEMPA announced the winners of its annual individual and publication contests.
The awards celebrate excellence in scholastic journalism across a variety of categories, including news writing, opinion, feature, sports, photography, broadcast, and design. Winning entries reflected strong reporting, storytelling, and a commitment to journalistic integrity.
WisJEA congratulates all of this year’s winners and commends all student journalists who continue to inform, inspire, and elevate their school communities through their work.
